The 2024 Go-To Law Schools: Big Law survey is here, ranking the top 50 law schools by percentage of 2023 J.D. graduates that went on to the largest 100 law firms in the country—with a handful of notable moves shaking out among the leaders.
Among them was Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law, which bumped Columbia Law School out of first place—a position the school had held for 10 years—and into second. Northwestern, which was ranked No. 3 last year, sent 182 grads, or 65.2%, to Big Law in 2023, while Columbia sent 272, 64.3%.
