Under attack for collecting information on Internet users, DoubleClick said last week it had hired New York City’s Consumer Affairs Commissioner Jules Polonetsky as its Chief Privacy Officer, a newly created position.
DoubleClick said in the same announcement that it has set up an independent board to address the issue of Internet privacy. The board will be chaired by former New York Attorney General Robert Abrams.
