OPINION

Appellant, Jeronimo Anibal Espinal, appeals two convictions for aggravated robbery. In a single issue on appeal, he asserts his guilty plea and nolo contendere pleas were made unknowingly and involuntarily. We affirm.

Appellant was charged in two indictments with separate offenses of aggravated robbery. At a combined hearing in both cases, he executed a written “Statement and Waivers of Defendant” waiving his right to have a court reporter record the proceedings. He then pleaded (1) guilty in Cause No. 822,152 to the offense of aggravated robbery with a firearm and (2) nolo contendere in Cause No. 823,157 to aggravated robbery by using and exhibiting a deadly weapon, a knife. Both pleas were entered without a punishment recommendation, but with the agreement that a pre- sentence investigation (PSI) would be conducted. Following the PSI and punishment hearing, the trial court found appellant guilty of both offenses and assessed punishment in each case at 10 years confinement.
