Arizona will be in the spotlight on Tuesday as it reviews KPMG Law’s groundbreaking application for the first Big Four alternative business structure (ABS) license in the U.S.

The prospect of a heavyweight entrant like KPMG could be a catalyst for regulatory reform nationwide and inspire competitors at accounting giants Deloitte, PwC, and EY to set up their own regulated U.S. law firms, disrupting an ABS sector now dominated mainly by personal injury, class-action, and product liability law firms.
