Richard Parr said that after almost three decades as a legal chief at various companies, he’s comfortable in his own skin.

That reality helps Parr–who views himself as a problem solver–execute a successful succession plan—for his own job. In November, he transitioned from chief legal officer to senior adviser at Chicago-based TAG, better known as the parent of the sprawling network of Aspen Dental clinics.
