Financial services and investment firms need a dramatic transformation to thrive in an economy of multiple threats and new opportunities, but they too often underutilize their in-house legal teams as they seek to innovate.

That’s a takeaway from a study by Mayer Brown based on a survey of 635 business leaders at midsized to large organizations, including 100 general counsel.
