Roomba vacuum maker iRobot Corp., which has scrambled to pick itself up after a $1.7 billion merger with Amazon fell apart early last year, has hired a new general counsel.

Kevin Lanouette, a partner at the Boston law firm Outside GC, succeeds Tonya Drake, who in March will become an adviser to the Bedford, Massachusetts-based manufacturer.
