U.S. District Judge Raag Singhal put an end to anti-bullying charity Be Strong’s case claiming a $250,000 prize that the organization alleged it won in an online contest sponsored by Park West Galleries, an art auction company that sells fine art in its galleries and at auctions on cruise ships.
The end result is a win for defense partner Paul Schwiep and attorney John E. Thornton Jr. of Coffey Burlington. In the summary judgment, Singhal ruled that Be Strong did not comply with the contest term that individuals could only vote once in the online contest.
