Attorneys in Florida, Alabama and Tennessee are suing a Louisiana lawyer for breach of contract and other charges after almost $13 million in fees allegedly were not shared as previously agreed as part of the plaintiffs’ work on a class-action case.
Memphis attorney Gordon Ball and The Dampier Law Firm of Birmingham, Alabama, and McArthur Law of Panama City, Florida, filed separate complaints Monday in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Alabama against attorney Patrick W. Pendley and his law firm, Pendley, Baudin & Coffin of Plaquemine, Louisiana.
