Former U.S. State Department adviser Nema Milaninia said access to resources needed to help “a multitude of clients” comply with “new regulatory schemes” covering emerging technology helped convince him to join King & Spalding as a partner in Washington, D.C.

The Am Law 50 firm announced Monday that Milaninia joined the firm’s special matters and government investigations practice group after serving as a senior adviser helping to shape policy toward cybersecurity, emerging technology and international criminal matters, public international law and conflict prevention for the U.S. Department of State.
