    Clydes makes Mongolia move with local alliance agreement

    Clyde & Co has become the latest firm to enter the Mongolian legal market via an association with local law firm Khan Lex Advocates. Clydes has tied up with Ulan Bator-based firm Khan Lex, which launched last year and has links to the private sector and the Mongolian Government legal service, having advised on the drafting of key legislation including the Foreign Investment Code, the State Property Law and tax laws.

    City firms foresee slow growth but Q3 revenues rise 7% at top 100

    The UK's top 100 law firms saw fee income increase by 7.2% year-on-year during the third quarter of 2011-12 according to new research, which shows firms are predicting slower growth for the coming financial year due to the ongoing economic uncertainty in the eurozone. Deloitte's latest legal sector survey, covering the three-month period ending 31 January, shows that while fee income increased in Q3 this year compared with 2011, the growth is down on last quarter, when the same firms reported an increase in turnover of nearly 10%.

Clydes is advising US businessmen Tom Hicks and George Gillet, who claim that they lost around £140m when they were pushed into the sale of Liverpool FC by RBS in 2010, arguing that the club was sold at a significant undervalue.
