    Jones Day competition capture marks rare CC City lateral

    Clifford Chance (CC) has made a rare London partner hire after the capture of a senior competition partner from the City arm of Jones Day. Greg Olsen joins CC as a partner in the capital after six years with Jones Day, where he headed the City competition team. He was previously an associate at CC and will rejoin the magic circle law firm's City competition and regulation group. Olsen joined Jones Day in 2001 before becoming a partner in 2002.

    Details emerge of Hammonds' court battle with ex-partners

    Hammonds is suing its former construction chief for £379,000 as part of its £3m High Court claim against 14 ex-partners, it has emerged, as the long-running profits dispute nears its day in court. According to court documents made public this month, former Hammonds Hong Kong and London construction partner David Jones has been hit with the demand, the highest individual claim cited.
