    EU law: Packing it all in

From 1 July, 2007, European Union (EU) Regulation 1924/2006 on nutrition and health claims has applied in all EU member states, with the aims of harmonising such claims across the EU and providing a framework to ensure consumers are not misled.

    Ex-CBI boss Jones joins Welsh firm as adviser

    Welsh leader Hugh James has hired the former head of the Confederation of British Industry (CBI), Sir Digby Jones, the firm announced today (19 June). Jones, takes on an advisory role, with the firm confident his business expertise will be beneficial to its clients. Following his decision to step down from the CBI in 2006 after six years at the helm, Jones and has been acting as 'skills envoy' for the Government. He has also done consulting work for professional services giant Deloitte and Barclays Capital.
