    US duo scoop latest mega buy-out

    East Coast firms Weil Gotshal & Manges and Ropes & Gray have bagged the lead roles on America's latest multi-billion dollar leveraged buy-out (LBO), advising on a $8.2bn (£4.1bn) consortium bid for electronic group Avaya. Boston private equity leader Ropes & Gray is advising the consortium which consists of Silver Lake and Texas Pacific Group, while Weil Gotshal is advising the target.
