    Senior City duo join Campbell Hooper

    West End boutique Campbell Hooper has bagged a brace of high-profile partners in a boost for its gaming division, the London practice announced today (4 May). Highly-rated sports and commercial lawyer Paul Renney joins the firm next week from UK giant Addleshaw Goddard, where he was an equity partner and headed up the specialist gambling and advertising teams. He is also the former head of Addleshaw's e-commerce practice.

    Camerons axed in Scots Executive adviser re-jig

    A clutch of UK firms have landed lucrative spots on a slimmed-down legal panel for the Scottish Executive, it was announced today (3 May), with City giant CMS Cameron McKenna among those to miss out. The eight-strong roster includes big four Scots rivals Dundas & Wilson and Maclay Murray & Spens as well as regional practices Morton Fraser, Brodies and Harper MacLeod. Edinburgh outfit Anderson Strathern, meanwhile, has won a role on the panel for the first time.
