    RPC takes on insurance GC as partner

    Reynolds Porter Chamberlain (RPC) has recruited corporate insurance specialist Charlotte Taggart as partner from independent insurance broker Lockton Companies International. Taggart, who spent four years at Lockton as international general counsel, will join RPC on 1 January, bringing the number of corporate insurance lawyers at the firm to 35.

    Olswang, Linklaters and Taylor Wessing have all picked up roles advising on the sale of Pizza Hut's UK dine-in restaurants to specialist restructuring investor Rutland Partners. The sale by Pizza Hut owner Yum! Brands will see Rutland invest £20m in the business as part of a wider £60m refurbishment and restructuring programme. It will then run the 330 restaurants under a franchise agreement from Yum!.
