    Bakers appoints Trappehl as new German head

    Baker & McKenzie has appointed Munich labour law partner Bernhard Trappehl as its new German managing partner. Trappehl takes over the reins from the previous incumbent, Frankfurt labour law partner Guenther Heckelmann, in July. The appointment follows the firm's announcement earlier this month that Gary Senior has been re-elected as London managing partner.

    Senior wins second term as Bakers London chief

    Baker & McKenzie has re-appointed Gary Senior as its London managing partner. Senior's second term will start on 1 September and is due to last for three years. His reappointment was uncontested, with voting of the London partners closing on Friday (4 May). Senior was initially appointed for a three-year term in September 2003, replacing Russell Lewin, but he has already agreed to extend his initial term by one extra year.
