    Linklaters' Brazilian ally, Lefosse, is set to split, with a significant number of lawyers leaving to create an independent firm after a what is believed to have been a dispute over strategy.     Holman Fenwick & Willan has acted on a $1.3bn (£648m) energy deal for Indonesian-listed Bumi Resources, which has sold a stake in two mining companies to Tata Power. The firm's Singapore, London and Dubai offices acted on a deal in which Bumi sold a 30% stake in Kaltim Prima Coal and Arutmin Indonesia to India's largest privately-owned utility company, Tata. It is one of South East Asia's largest M&A deals in the mining sector in to date.

    Norton Rose has recruited boutique investment bank Climate Change Capital (CCC) general counsel Anthony Hobley as head of the firm's global climate change and carbon finance practice. Norton Rose advised CCC last year on the formation of the biggest private fund created to trade in carbon dioxide emission credits.
