    Slaughters' Aussie friend enters Singapore

    Slaughter and May's Australian ally, Allens Arthur Robinson, is set to launch in the Singapore market after brokering a joint venture with local firm TSMP Law Corporation (TSMP). The venture, which was announced today (23 April), goes live on 1 June and will practise under the banner Allens Arthur Robinson TSMP. The new office, which will have around 50 lawyers, is the latest addition to the firm's extensive South East Asia network and will focus primarily on corporate work.

    Allen & Overy (A&O) has raised its salary rates in a move that is thought to take the firm above its magic circle rivals but falls short of a predicted pay surge.
