    Slaughters' HK seminar signals Asia shift

    Slaughter and May has held its first associate training seminar for its Asia referral partners, with lawyers from 15 firms meeting up last week as the elite City firm moves to tighten up relationships in the region. The two-day event, which took place last Thursday and Friday (March 28 and 29) in Bangkok, was hosted by Hong Kong-based Slaughters corporate partners George Goulding and Colin Smith and London partners Nick Archer and Padraig Cronin.

    Cleary Gotlieb Steen & Hamilton and Clifford Chance (CC) have bagged lead roles advising on TPG Capital's €3.4bn (£2.3bn) takeover bid for Spanish national airline Iberia.
