The first quarter of the year already saw three state governors signing data privacy laws into effect: first New Jersey, and now New Hampshire and Kentucky expanding the reach of data protection rights to their residents.
The latest enacted laws now bring the number of states with comprehensive data privacy laws up to 15, with pending bills in Nebraska and Maryland waiting for their own governors’ signatures at time of press.
