Even as company legal departments fret over runaway outside counsel costs, they’re often reluctant to issue requests for proposals, a tool that for some matters can reduce the amount law firms bill by nearly one-third, according to studies and RFP proponents.
While in-house leaders rattle off a wide range of reasons they shy away from requests for proposals, those concerns are rooted in misconceptions or a resistance to change, according to panelists on a recent webinar sponsored by Priori Legal titled “The Secrets to RFP Success for Legal Departments.”
