The U.S. Supreme Court said Monday that it will review a lawsuit against the federal government over a predawn FBI raid conducted at the wrong house, taking up a dispute about whether the Constitution bars some litigation under the Federal Tort Claims Act.

The court agreed to hear an appeal by a woman seeking to revive her personal injury claim against the government after her family was awoken in 2017 to Federal Bureau of Investigation agents smashing through the front door of her home in the Atlanta suburbs, detonating a flash grenade and holding her at gunpoint. According to the lawsuit, the FBI agent had confused her house with that of a nearby suspected gang member under federal investigation.
