A new draft study into more than 50 years of Supreme Court advocacy—the most comprehensive research on the subject to date—has largely confirmed the advantage that repeat high court players have over their less experienced peers. At the same time, the study also establishes a point of “diminishing returns” of Supreme Court experience.
