A New York town justice who had been convicted of an intoxicated driving offense resigned amid the state judicial watchdog’s probe of the allegation, the agency revealed on Monday.

Lindley Town Justice Julie Kuck of Steuben County had originally been charged by state police with aggravated driving while under the influence with a child under age 15, a felony, and misdemeanor charges of driving while intoxicated and operating a motor vehicle with a blood-alcohol of more than .08% on June 14 during a stop in the town of Erwin.
