A defendant who injured a worker when he crashed into a U.S. Postal truck has agreed to settle the lawsuit against him for $1 million after video evidence of the accident was presented by plaintiff’s counsel.

On June 12, 2018, Michael Branciforte stopped his truck to turn into a driveway on Cemetery Hill Road in Washington Township as he waited to turn left into a driveway. Logan M. Rettino was operating a black BMW which crashed into the driver’s side front of Branciforte’s vehicle, according to the complaint filed in Bergen County Superior Court in Branciforte v. Rettino.
