A 32-year-old worker who fell through a metal grate on a construction job at a Central Railroad of New Jersey site in Liberty State Park has agreed to a $2 million settlement with several construction companies he sued over the injuries.
Erik San Elias Sierra worked for Liberty Mechanical Contractors, setting boiler pumps at the Central Railroad terminal in Liberty State Park on June 19, 2015. Sierra was moving a boiler pump when a metal grate gave way and caused him to fall, according to his attorney, John Ratkowitz of Ginarte Gonzalez & Winograd.
