    In 2023, S.B. 1045 created a new Fifteenth Court of Appeals of Texas with exclusive statewide jurisdiction to hear cases involving enumerated categories of cases civil matters brought by or against the State, matters challenging the constitutionality of a state statute or rule and the attorney general is a party to the case and required transfer of pending cases within that exclusive jurisdiction to be transferred to the new court.
