Although hopes remain that things will get better in 2021, many Texas litigators are bracing for trends that accept the reality that business is not back to usual in the courts or the world.

Trial attorneys expect to see litigation trends arising over contract disputes, insurance coverage and employment tiffs, and a continuation of lawsuit fallout from the many bankruptcies that COVID-19 has caused. Lawyers also expect trends in current litigation during the year, with a widespread belief that jury trials won’t resume until the coronavirus vaccine has been distributed widely.
