Most of the homegrown Texas firms on the 2024 Am Law 200 ranking improved their revenue in 2023, as a robust energy practice and litigation work, among a number of hot practices, resulted in strong financials.

Ten Texas firms are on the Am Law 200 list, which ranks firms by gross revenue, with Houston trial firm Susman Godfrey moving up to the Am Law 100 with strong revenue and profits increases, while Houston Chamberlain, Hrdlicka, White, Williams & Aughtry, known for its tax work, made its first appearance on the Second Hundred.
