Harris County 165th District Court Judge Ursula Hall bested a primary challenge and must do it again against a GOP challenger and in spite of two disciplinary sanctions by the State Commission on Judicial Conduct.

Hall was publicly reprimanded the second time in April, a month after the primary, for a demonstrating a recurring pattern of failing to timely rule in cases, which in turn has forced litigants and the appellate courts to expend unnecessary resources processing mandamus petitions brought to remedy her failure to make timely rulings.
