Houston-based Feldman & Feldman prevailed in a federal lawsuit filed by a real estate company over posts on their firm’s website warning consumers to beware of the company’s business practices.

EasyKnock, a now-defunct real estate company, filed a two-count complaint in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas against Feldman & Feldman in November 2021. The suit alleged that the law firm engaged in defamation and tortious interference by posting a warning about EasyKnock’s business practices on its website. An order issued Jan. 27 by U.S. District Judge George C. Hanks, Jr., dismissed the case without prejudice for lack of prosecution after EasyKnock’s counsel withdrew and new counsel filled the vacancy.
