The new chief judge of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania said his goal as leader is to ensure the judges in his district have the resources they need.

“All of the important work that’s done here is being done in the courtrooms by individual judges, and my view is that the chief judge’s role and the clerk of court’s role is to do everything they can to support what goes on in the courtrooms,” said newly installed Chief Judge Mitchell Goldberg.
